Solar panels are generally pretty reliable. In a recent Which? survey, more than seven in 10 owners had never had a technical fault with their solar panel system. Some have owned their solar panels for a decade.

If you do have a problem talk to your installer, to see if it’s covered by the product or workmanship warranties, or by the installer’s insurance.
