ROOFTOP SOLAR

It's clearer than ever that we need to move away from our reliance on fossil fuels.  A record rise in global gas prices is having a dramatic impact on energy bills.  And by continuing to burn fossil fuels we release more CO2 into the atmosphere, adding to the challenge of climate change.

One way to help tackle the issues is to install solar PV panels on our rooftops – on our homes and on local community, business and public buildings.

Panels on your home

We have created these pages to help homeowners navigate the options and find the best approach.  They outline the things to consider when choosing an installer, how to fund your PV installation if you don't have the capital, and what to do if things go wrong with your PV installation..

Panels on community, public and business rooftops

We are working with Big Solar Coop to help get PV panels installed on community, public and business rooftops across Stroud district.  This is at no cost to the building occupier and is done on a not-for-profit basis.  Read on to find out how this works, to suggest a potential site, and to contact the Big Solar Coop.
