NEWS FROM SOMEWHEN – BOOK LAUNCH
Sunday 17th May 2026

Join us for the launch of News from Somewhen, a compelling new novel by Hugh Barton that offers a hopeful yet unsettling vision of the future. Set in and around the Stroud Valleys, the story follows Robyn Ghorra, an urban designer who awakens from a coma into a transformed future society – one that has tackled climate breakdown, inequality and environmental collapse, but at a price.
The event will feature a conversation with the author, live medieval music from Ypotryll, and support from Transition Stroud.
