PEOPLE’S EMERGENCY BRIEFING – FILM SHOWINGS

Join a community showing of The People’s Emergency Briefing – a new public information film about the climate and nature breakdown – and what we still need to do about it.
Showings are being held across Stroud District through 2026, alongside community discussions about what action we can take.

This event is for local government representatives
Empowering our Councils is a free, in-person event focused on sharing practical ideas for managing community assets cleanly and affordably in a time of change.
Join Stroud Area Community Energy Network for peer support on retrofit and clean energy installation and an overview of funding options, including the community funding model.
STROUD CLIMATE CAFES

Grief……fear……anger…..despair: the climate and nature crisis can bring up all of these feelings and more in us.
A Climate Cafe is a chance to talk, to be heard and to hear other people’s experience. It can be very supportive and empowering to come together in this way, to know we’re not alone in facing these tumultuous times.
Facilitated by Bill Roberts and Sue Ryall to help support people alongside local showings of People’s Emergency Briefing.

Repair Cafés are free meeting places that are all about repairing things – together. At our Repair Cafés you’ll find tools and materials to help you make any repairs you need, as well as expert volunteers to help complete the job. Book you repair in here
There are three regular Repair Cafes each month
- First Saturdays – Minchinhampton Repair Cafe at Minchinhampton Library
- Second Sundays – Nailsworth Repair Cafe
- Last Sundays – Stroud Repair Cafe at Trinity Rooms
