Welcome to this year’s Annual Report summary. We write a report every year so our Members, supporters and funders can see what we’ve been up to, and to help us understand the impact we’ve made together – for our community and the climate.

We’re a pretty small organisation made up of 8 volunteer Directors plus a wider team of 73 practical volunteers, who run everything in our spare time. We’re also supported by 4 very part time freelancers, who do the slightly boring but critical things like running our newsletter, checking the inbox, making sure we’re using our funding well, and working out which key belongs to which e-bike.

This year, we’ve been chuffed to bits to be able to carry on supporting the growth of all our incredible community building activities, from repair cafe to the Stroud Area Community Energy Network. We’ve also carried on working with other organisations across the District and county to build a wider coalition of action, and we’ve had a lot of fun running projects and events together. We were also so happy to have been able to support other people’s projects using our Facilitation Fund – which we recently relaunched in September and is still open for new applications!

So . .  how did we do?

You can read our full report here, as well as the separate Repair Cafe Report, but you can also take a look through our highlights in this post.

🙌 Altogether, our action groups and projects ran 38 public events and workshops in Stroud District, directly engaging over 1,338 different people directly on reuse, repair, clean travel, clean energy and creative imagineering.

We also attended and supported over 20 public events and collaborated with 27 other organisations, reaching countless others.

💻 We reached 1,900 people over Facebook, 2,300 people through our website, and 1,234 people signed up to our newsletter.

🚲 311 people signed up to our Pedal Power service across 5 pick-up points across our District.

🛠️ Repair Cafe volunteers have repaired 342 items between them.

🎉Altogether, while there is always going to be some overlap in the figures, we can feel pretty confident that altogether we have engaged between 4-6,000 people on community led climate action this year.

And how much carbon did we save?

We are thrilled to report that our Pedal Power project has directly saved 3 tonnes in carbon, and Repair Cafe activity has saved 8.5 tonnes – together making 11.5 tonnes saved by our activities this year.

We’d like to especially mention not just all our hard working volunteer Directors who take so much of their personal time to keep everything going behind the scenes, but our Members too, the people who volunteer to check our work each year and help us steer our future course. At this year’s AGM, we voted in 4 new Directors and 1 new Member and we’re really looking forward to working together to get even more done!

And of course, we’d be nothing without our army of community fixers and bike loaners who help keep the wheels spinning and the lights on – quite literally. This year we have been blessed with so many new people helping to run our projects, as well as bringing their own, and we’re so incredibly grateful to everyone for contributing their time and skills.

Thank you all, and looking forward to 2026 together!
